Ten Wonderful Grandkids

Comments:

I have so enjoyed the profiles and photos. A big thanks to Jim Ficklin for this great site!

The class of 61 had some pretty great people!

What have you been doing since graduation.

Bonnie and I moved to Denver the day after we graduated. I worked for Ma Bell, got married, had 3 sons. We have lived in Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming, and now Utah.

I did a few different things after my boys were grown. Secretary, nurse, medical transcription.

Alamosa was a fun place to grow up in and a great place to go to school. I have realized how wonderful the Alamosa schools were, and we had excellent teachers!!

What are your current hobbies interests?

I have been a hospital volunteer for a few years and do lots of genealogy.

It is hard to read that some of those we went to school with have passed away. That makes me so sad. Also, I am so sad to read that some of our classmates are widows or widowers. Life can get tough, but the tough keep going, right?

School Story:

I worked at the Rialto in the ticket booth during high school, and one Halloween night John Walsh and some other guys pulled up in front of the Rialto and John got out with a dead (and decomposing) cat, or rabbit, don't remember which, and proceeded to throw it up on top of the ticket booth. It was pretty ripe! Somehow Joe Brite contacted John and it seems like he came back and removed the dead animal.

Why is that so funny now? I guess because I am old, and because that was a relatively harmless -- though disgusting -- prank.
