I received word from Judy's daughter about Judy's death. I received a note from both Judy and her husband in the late summer after our 50th year reunion. Judy wrote she was so happy to hear from a classmate, thought she had been forgotten, our reunion invite was the only one she ever received in these 50 years. Her writing was very hard to make out. Her husband enclosed a note thanking me for remembering her. He said she had Alzheimer's, but did remember me and her Alamosa school years. She wanted more information about the class so I told her about our reunion booklet, told her it was $10. Her husband sent me the money and I sent her a book. Was the last communication with her.
I thought of her often but I did not stay in communication. When we just sent out the letters about upcoming reunion I mentioned to the gals that she was in poor health. Several days ago I heard from her daughter that Judy passed away on Oct. 11, 2014. She said "Thanks for rembering her mother."
To the family of Judy Trujillo Ratliff, may the peace, love and joy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you at this time of grief and sorry. Judy was a wonderful young lady and will be missed by those who knew her.
Judy was a great friend and always had a radiant smile. My sympathy to her family, may the Lord bless you with peace and comfort. I was so glad to have her as a true friend.
I am deeplu saddened by the epassing of Judy...I remembed Judy as a sweet, lovely gal with a beautiful smile and great personality. It seems that this is becoming all too common from our class of "61" as she will join all the great classmates that passed before her. I give my thoughts and prayers to the family of Judy and hope that they can e comforted during this time of sadness.
