I attended Adam State for two years and then got married and had my children and after my youngest entered kindergarten I started working at the Monte Vista Schools and worked there for 13 years.until my youngest graduated. I then ventured off to Ca. where all my children were and worked at Mervyn's for 7 years in customer service and then moved back to Colo. to help care for my aging parents. They died in 2001 and 2003 and I have stayed in Aurora finishing up my work in Mervyns until they closed their doors for good. I retired at the age of 62 and have been fighting an incurable brain disease called dystonia that I have had over 20 years. I think about the great class of 1961 and am sorry I will not be able to attend but wish you all the best in the years to come. Right now I am trying to sell my condo in our flourishing economy and move to a warmer climate so I might be here a long time. One advantage is that I have an excellent neurologist that has kept me going until we find that long sought after cure.

Most of my life has been spent in raising successful, responsible children in hopes that they would do much better than I. One is a psychiatric nurse becoming a practitioner in Ohio and one executive V.P. and Facilities Director at a bank in Ca. and one C. P. A. in the fraud division for the State of Arizona Corp. Commission so I feel very fortunate that they are doing well.

I do volunteer work at church and am a good listener to anyone that has problems. I love to walk and keep in shape and also love to shop. Traveling is also one of my favorite things that I love to do especially to see the grandkids. I used to jog and run in marathons but cannot do that anymore. I also help with our Dystonia Support group.

I feel that I was an underachiever in school and could have done so much better than I did.

Yes, I have a lot of good memories and many funny stories but some I dare not comment. I was a lot more ornery than anyone would believe.
