Sadly, we lost another dear classmate, Jayne (Gingy) Topnick, in June.
Jayne had a highly successful engineering career, beginning with Amoco in Texas, continuing in London after BP acquired Amoco, and later in Colorado. She eventually retired to Indiana to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Jayne was a talented musician, seamstress, and quilter. Her obituary highlights many of these achievements.
We will honor Jayne and the other classmates we have lost at the Hampton Remembrance Garden on Saturday morning, September 5.

Nancy Becker (Vonderhaar)
Gingie was my first best friend, which always seemed right since she was first in nearly everything she did. She surprised me by showing up to a small gallery show I had (ceramics) in July of 2025. She drove three hours and stayed in a hotel - she was delighted to pull off the SURPRISE! We have talked consistently over the years but I can't say we remained close. Thankfully we reconnected after that visit. Feel free to call me 630-605-1555 if you want to talk.
I am sad I am not able to attend the September reunion! I will be with you all in spirit! Thanks so much to all the organizers- it surely will be a stellar weekend. Cheers to Gingie, or Jayne as most of you knew her, and the Spirit of '76!
