I have received word that Walter Wachter Jr died in his sleep on July 22.  I have been unable to obtain his obituary.  The last address I have for him is Hubert NC.  If anyone has the name of the Funeral home I would be glad to put the full obituary up.  My sympathy to his family and friend.  RIP Walter.

Walter “Shorty” William Wachter, Jr. 75 of Hubert, passed away Saturday, 7/22/17 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday morning at 10 AM at the Emerald Isle Baptist Church
He is survived by his sons Walter “Corky” Wachter III and family of Colorado Springs, CO, William “Billy” John Edward and family of Westerville, OH, Chris Wachter and family of Clarksburg, WV, and Nick Wachter and family of Ohio, daughter Cara Wachter of Maryland, sister Wilma Wachter Smith of Emerald Isle, NC, brother Robert Samuel Wachter and wife Susan of McHenry MD.
He is preceded in death by his son Brian Wachter, and his parents Walter Wachter, Sr. and Alma Burns Wachter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 5898 Highway 70, Newport, NC 28570 or the Live Oak Church of Emerald Isle, 3095 Highway 24
