One of the real 'brainiacs' of our class. A really fine person. Marsha Himler

I agree with Marsha: one of the really seriously intelligent classmates.  But...also a GREAT guy.  We were good friends and I remember him as a great baseball team manager.  We miss Milan.

When I saw Milan's dad's (Max) obit a few weeks ago, it brought back fond memories of them trying to keep me healthy by eating a good breakfast of shredded wheat when I stopped by to join up with Milan to walk to Fairview Elementary.  I do try to eat shredded wheat at least 3 times a week (and I think of them).  Randy

Milan was one of those "Stand By Me" friends from elementry (Fairview)and Jr High (Keith) from whom I drifted away but never forgot.  In those years we shared freezing hikes up Wopsy with the Boy Scouts, first aid competitons at Roosevelt and bus trips to Pirate games in Forbes Field.  He was very bright.  We called him "Worm" though I have no idea why but the memories are fond.
