Beam
Shirley L. (Conrad) Beam, 79, of Altoona, passed away Thursday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Virginia (Irwin) Beam and Joby Heininger and stepfather, Robert Beam.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah (Conrad) Bais and husband, Michal; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Vanessa O’Shell; four brothers: Joby Conrad, Darryle Beam, Larry Beam and Keech Beam; a special friend, Ron Cherry; her former husband, Jeffrey Beam; two special family members, Jason Beam and Sheila Mielnik; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Wade Conrad and Devon Conrad; and three brothers: Bud Conrad, John Conrad and Rod Beam.
Shirley graduated from Altoona High School in 1960 and worked at Tyrone Hospital in Central Registration.
She attended the Salvation Army Church in Altoona and was a soldier.
Shirley loved attending yard sales.
Friends will be received from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 5 p.m.
Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
