All of y'all who added photos look great! What are y'all trying to do - intimidate others into not showing up at the reunion? I'm going put in some photos to show y'all what you are supposed to look like 20 years after highschool. I'm heavier, hairier, my knees hurt, my back hurts, my elbows lock and my face is scarred - it takes me a good hour to warm up in the morning.

On the serious side - my sincerest condolences to Patricia's family and to anyone else who might have lost a loved one.

I saw Mike Sellers bout six months ago in Alvin Walmart. We talked & he still lives in Alvin. If you get ahold of him ask him bout Ms. Bell the English teacher, I bet she still looks good!! Last I heard, Jimmy Golden was running for some kind of political office & I think he lives in Pearland. Michele tell your bro I say howdy! We need to aggrivate Ms. Farthing or somebody, class sucked but she was goofy! If anybody knows the whereabouts of Gary Wright holler at me 979 248 1952. To everybody else out there I say it's good to welcome back it's been way too long!

My vote would be for Moody Gardens. There are lots of activities for families there, Schlitterbahn is next door and for us grown ups.....there is the spa!

Anyone keep up with any of the teaches and staff at AHS?

What ever happend to coaching and teaching tandem of the Brothertons?

What about Charles McCauley?

Adam Flores

I see Mr. McCauley from time to time at the AISD Admin building (he's on the school board). He's exactly the same as you remember him! One of the new buildings on AHS campus is named after him.

EVERYONE I RELOCATED AN OLD WINDOW FRAME FROM THE MAIN WHEN IT WAS TORN DOWN. I'M IN THE PROCESS OF RESTORING IT FOR MY PERSONAL USE BUT I WOULD LOVE TO LET THE REUNION COMMITTEE USE IT WHEN I'M FINISHED. I WAS THINKING WE COULD PUT PICS FROM ANY AGE OF SCHOOLIN THERE AS A MONTAGE OR FOCAL POINT. I HAVE A PIC OF ME, JASON WELLS, JASON WARREN & A FELLOW WHO MOVED AWAY ANDREW SHEFFIELD AT FIELD DAY IN 1979!!!! WE JUST WON THE PACKSADDLE RACE! I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE THAT THERES OLD!!! LET ME KNOW WHAT YALL THINK!

Patricia Tomlin (Merritt)

WOW! Have you talked to Jason Well? I remember Andrew too... Jason used to TRY to beat me up in 3rd grade Ms.Gee's class at Alvin Primary. She would do anything everytime he hit me because she said, "That's how little boys show that they like you" LOL! Well, Anyway I love your idea Gary and cant wait to see some of those pics. I have a picture of Denise Keleman, Julie Rassmussen, Lori Abbey and I from my 3rd grade Slumber Party that is when the 4 of us were inseparable. (sp)

Hey There Everyone!
Hope everything is good !
About the reunion...I think we graduated from Alvin High School..we should do it in Alvin somewhere, it only seems right. Bring everyone home, isnt that what it is about anyway?

I'm sure you remember this story Julie. 1984, Mr. Onken's class you were writing with a blue felt tip pen when it exploded all on the back of my yellow OP shirt. You were in shock & Jason Wells was laughing his ass off & just as I turned around to see what was up Coach Onken slamed his stick on the top of my desk! Jason you suck all you did was laugh! LOL! Please tell me you remember this?

09/03/08 06:11 PM #41

Staci Botter

I remember Mr. Onken was cute!! Well at least we thought so at the time lol

09/03/08 06:20 PM #42

Yeah, I remember he couldn't walk down the hallway without feeling violated! LOL!

Gary,

It was good to hear from you the other day. It's been way too long. WOW! 20 years!!!

We should have this thing at the ol' Alvin Motel. That's where all the really good parties were after prom and everything anyway, so I think that would be fitting :-) Just kidding. I am curious to know if someone's putting a list of potential spots together...I just joined the site, so I'm playing catch up. It's good to hear from you guys and gals!

09/04/08 01:21 PM #45

Kimberly Bennett (Bullard)

Yea....but they just closed the Alvin Motel down for major code violations! I don't think they're going going to be operational anytime soon, if ever. I am laughing my butt off thinking about all those times............boy if those walls could talk.......maybe not!

09/04/08 01:27 PM #46

Gary Smith

Was that the place you could rent by the hour? LOL!!!

09/04/08 01:45 PM #47

Eddie Ferguson

Oh man...if those walls started talking, I would have to burn the place down. Maybe we don't need to have it there...lol! Where did you guys do the other reunions? I've been overseas or deployed for all of the other gatherings. Did we do anything cool for the previous ones?
BTW...I was in town for last weekend to visit my mom and I ran a 5k fun run around the campus on Saturday. I was AMAZED at the changes! What a nice place!

Eddie....I don’t think they have even begun planning where/when/how/cost. Missy said the steering committee was going to get together soon and start the planning. I had suggested Galveston (Moody Garden) only because it’s close enough to Alvin/Houston area and there are things for families to do. Lots of different hotels for people to stay in, that range in price or close enough to Alvin that you could drive down for the day if you didn’t want to stay in Galveston. While we are not having "reunion" activities we could still visit with each other out by the pool, at the museum, people with children / teenagers could go to Schlitterbahn, which is next door to Moody Gardens. Just a central place that has activities to keep families busy while we are not doing the “reunion” stuff. That was my suggestion for what its worth, really makes no difference to me! I don’t know of much to do in Alvin, unless we want to bring back cruising Gordon LOL. We could all meet at Sonic and drive on down to Jack in the Box in our SUV’s and mini vans. :)

Gotcha...sounds good. It doesn't really matter to me either. We're going to travel either way. The gardens sounds good and may meet all of our needs. Anyway, I was just curious to see if I'd missed anything :-) Thanks for the info!

Dam'n Stacci! I didn't know you quit your life long career at Texas Eye Institute to be the President of The Chambers of Commerce for Ole Galvest Isle! good job Promoting the Island... I think you forgot to mention all the hole in the wall bars that would make everyone feel right at home?

Has anyone talked to John Whitlock or Gary Wright? I know someone already asked about Gary but..... I talked to John around the time of our 10 year reunion and he was back from overseas and was married with kid in tow living somewhere in Katy....
