Jeff, oh my gosh that's right! How could I forget that you and your family were right next door? I wish I could give you a big hug right now, better still, somehow take that awful memory away from you. Its awful for those of us who remember it, but that much more painful for you. And yes, while we lost a classmate, that family lost 5 children. Sad, so sad and tragic. Some of us were talking about it last night. They live on in our hearts and memories if not with us in life.

heidi I just sent a similar message to Jeff. I had no idea he was that close...David Hamel's cousin Billy Hamel was close to Elizabeth. We talk about it once in a while. Oh Jeff! My heart aches for you to have to live with that!

Tim,

Don't know if you'll see this, but hoping you will be popping back in when you get a chance.

There are four boxes on their way to you. One of the boxes contains a brown envelope, clearly addressed to you from all of us, that contains letters, the dvd photoshow, and pictures from Saturday night.

The other boxes have random things. Popcorn, tuna packets, granola bars, trail mix, propel drink mix, crackers, fly tape, foot powder, some movies and a bunch of body wash/shampoo, and hand cream from eco labs.

Anything you can't use I'm sure you'll pass on to those passing through or up to an FOB.

I thank you, my friend! For all that you do!!!!

Hugs,
Arline

I've just posted an album on Facebook with pictures from Saturday night. Just look up "Cheryl Wood", it should be accessible to everyone.
We had a great time at the reunion. Haven't stayed up that late since........geesh, I don't know when we've EVER stayed up that late! Couple of old poops, we are.

Thank you to all of you who worked so hard to make such a fun and memorable evening for everyone. I wish I had thought to bring my camera. I had a great time seeing all of you and couldn't believe I wasn't able to recognize everyone right away (sorry Charlie - I mean George)! I'm so glad I went and can't wait for the next event - whatever it may be. Keep me posted - I'd love to see you all again.

Hello all,

Back to reality here in Bloomington, Indiana...

It was so good to see you all at the reunion. Peter, I remember now why I loved hanging out with you during cross country and track. Laughing with you and Brian Lindberg was a highlight. Some of our stories will go to the grave! Thank you to Steve, Arline and the countless others who had a hand in making this such a memorable event. Count me in for the next one for sure, unless of course, Paul McCartney calls me first :)
Thank you as well to all that attended the event on Friday evening. I was humbled by the turnout and It was so great to play with all the old guys again. Thanks to your efforts, I was able to present the Relay For Life with a check for $1,300. I thank you and my mother thanks you!

See you down the road,

Mark LaPointe

Paula Gleed (Minter)

Hey guys. I'm with Steph: wish I had been able to get to the party & hope to see you all at the next one. On Sat night I had my glass of wine over here and thought of you all, although w/ the 5 hr time change, I was well and truly asleep before you started! . Looking forward to more pictures. And congrats to Mark for such a successful gig. I wish I had been there for that, too!!

Paula,
we wish you were there too. But it was really nice seeing you at one of the reunion planning meetings. By the way, you aged a lot nicer than your cheering megaphone!

I'm with Jeff....

Who really thought ALL of us could have that much fun. Every single one of us!!!!

It was awesome!!!!

Heidi Clark (McIntyre)

Paula and Steph, I definately missed you two, as well as some others that we just didn't manage to find (like Jeff Ellis). I think we'll have to double our efforts for the next time. Such a great time - I'll know not to wear heels the next time unless I'm wearing them regularly between now and then - doubt it! LOL Oh, and a certain someone (who I won't name in case she wants to be anonymous) gave me the roll-up recipe, so how do we post that for everyone? LOL

09/16/08 08:40 PM #79

Arline Grant

OMG!!!! You have the recipe! It's priceless!!!

Okay...now what? Do you save it and raffle it off at the next reunion? No, no! SHARE IT!! NOW!!!!!

As for missing classmates....I don't believe this site is going anywhere. Keep looking...now, as long as it takes...to find others, so EVERYONE can be at the next reunion.

I believe you can click on the "post announcement" link and once approved it would be added to the home page. Sounds like the perfect place for the rollup!

Maureen Casey (Sunnerberg)

Hi Everyone,
It was great to see all of you at the reunion. As someone else stated, many have only changed on the outside. The reunion was wonderful and by the sounds exceeded most expectations, including mine. I am amazed at how well and quickly everyone on the committee worked together to accomplish what seemed initially impossible once the date was set. Some fabulous ideas! It was great that it was able to be the same weekend as Mark's CD release party. What a weekend!

As for those who were unable to make it, you all were missed (especially Paula- I thought I had you almost convinced to come back.).
I truly hope this website stays this active throughout the years to come. Take care.

Hello folks, I had a great time the other night. Oh and Heidi,I actually had contacted Jeff Ellis a couple of weeks prior to the event. He said he wouldn't be able to make it.I did tell him about this site and he said he'd check it out. Also I ran into Jamie Cook and told him about it too. I guess he couldn't make it either. Maybe next time. I tried to track down Dana Langlois too but had no luck.

I was in my mid-20’s when I called Gracie. She told me I wasn’t the first Amesbury High Alumni to call and I’m sure I wasn’t the last.
It’s embarrassing to say, but I am the person who gave Heidi the Rollup recipe. The recipe isn’t all that unique. It’s much like something you see on the back of a box of Bisquick. I think it’s the amount of butter, sugar and cinnamon Gracie layered on the dough. I think she was trying to kill us-just kidding :)

Janet Osborn (Rousseau)

I have actually asked the girl at Ollie's in Exeter if it would be possible to duplicate it but she told me to call the Bakery in Portsmouth. Now I am a bit possessive of them...I dunno...I just want one!

09/17/08 12:30 PM #84

Janet Osborn (Rousseau)

Arline! I have been on this site more so as you know since the reunion...We have to plan something soon...maybe a rollup contest when the recipe comes around...Heidi!!! WHERE IS IT!!!! I have the DDT's...

09/17/08 06:29 PM #85

Heidi Clark (McIntyre)

Okay, okay! Now that Lisa has 'fessed up that she was the one that gave me the recipe, I will put my little fingers to work and post it. So Lisa gets the credit for the recipe, I'm just the one that said the word "rollup" at the tour Friday night and now I've got everyone obsessing and salivating! My bad!

09/17/08 06:33 PM #86

Heidi Clark (McIntyre)

Cool - it let me do a copy and paste from the message Lisa sent me, so I did a "post announcement" - now it just needs approval to post to the site. So if you don't see it, start harassing Steve ~ LOL!
