Lisa Brewer Knudson

We moved to northern California in 1977, when our daughter was 2 1/2 & son was 6 mos old. I have been blessed to be a fulltime wife & mother and consider it the greatest job of my life. We homeschooled our children through high school. We became born again Christians in the early 1980's. Our family has always been very involved in our church, and I have taught all ages, from nursery to teens & adult women. Since 2010 I have also done volunteer work with hospice, as a bereavement & spiritual care counselor. This has been a wonderful way for me be a help & comfort to people at the end of their lives. My husband retired in 2014. We have made many trips abroad to Europe and Asia, to visit our children & grandchildren, and even trips to Germany, France & England. We have also enjoyed a few cruises to Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii & Panama Canal. We took a trip to Germany to meet our first great grandson in March 2024.(Note: our daughters family are in Germany due to the war in Ukraine.)

I went to Albert Sweitzer elementary school, Crescent Junior High (was on the track team & tennis club), & went all 3 years of high school at Savanna.

Highlight of my high school years was being part of the drill team. This is where I met my husband, He was in band & orchestra. He played trombone (and still does in our church). We grew up on the same street, but never knew each other til high school. Started dating the end of his senior year.
