I've posted it on Myspace a few million times as has Heidi J (the only person with a name as diffcult as mine to spell) and Christina Dunaway. I made a SHHS c/o 99 Myspace page as well. I've posted it on Facebook...... I think a lot of this is going to have to be done via word of mouth. Who do you still talk to from our graduating class and how do you keep in touch with them? I really like the idea of using the company that class of 98 used to put together their reunion. Their page looks awesome, they have gottten in touch with a bunch of classmates etc. I have a few people that I still talk to that I am sure I can get to convince to join the site. The problem is that a lot of people just don't care.

09/24/08 11:01 AM #48     Ruben Aranda, Jr. Ok so I've kind of been just following along but haven't said anything. the way I see it there's not going to be any way to please everyone as far as the dates but I'm fine with whenever. The idea of using the company that the class of 98 used sounds great has anybody contacted them or found out what they charge? possibly we can start a paypal account and everyone put in $10 or $15 so we can give them at least something down to get started with and really get the ball rolling. Of course you would get credit for whatever you give in advance towards your reunion tix. Just an idea.

It just takes time so don't get ur panties in a wode or get in head over ur heels, k! Besides, its going to be pretty difficult to put together a reunion in Texas from Canada! Just chill. . . . . . . . We've got someone hosting this wonderful site for the class don't u think we will have our reunion committee meeting soon as well! And, we've only got 54 people so far listed as attending the reunion! Would it really be fair to plan a reunion with more than a third of our classmates somewhere over the rainbow? Why don't you use some of ur energy and try contacting the school to get a list of all of our classmates and telling them about the site Polly? Find our classmates so we can plan the reunion! That would be helpful!

First you message me telling me how glad you are that I'm here to help out with the planning and the next thing I hear is basically "shut the fuck up and let us do it". Where exactly are our class officers who are meant to be putting this reunion together? Who exactly is in the planning committee because from what I'm seeing here, shit isn't getting done. It's just going back and forth regarding when, its going back and forth regarding what types of activities and nothing is actually being planned. So how about instead of assigning people tasks on what they should you, you can take some of your own advice and try to get people to join this site instead of barking at people thinking they will listen. 10/07/08 01:02 PM #51     Christina Dunaway (Wilks) A committee has been put together? I didn't know. Since I'm in Arlington, I would love to help out. I know my time is limited, but that doesn't mean I can't help in the planning. Has the committee met yet? I really don't think the school will release the names of all the class members because that is a violation of those class members privacy and if the school did, the people contacted could sue. It's best just to use the yearbook and school directory and the resources we have online. Some people don't want to have anything to do with this, as I know a couple and I will not name them, and they would be really, really, really upset if someone contacted them from information the school gave out. I know I sound like a nay-sayer, but it is true. Let me know when the committee is meeting, hopefully it's not when I'm in class or at work.

We don't have to start from scratch and go about this unprofessionally or chaoatic if we use the resources that are in place! That's all I'm saying and grow up- nobody told you to shut up or anything like that! I simply stated you were ahead of yourself b/c we are not at that point yet and you have no authority to make those kind of moves regarding the class of 1999! Polly chill out and stop being so emotional about this! It's just our class reunion!

I was only trying to be logical in a humerous way! If I offended anyone "Please" forgive me, k! I think everyones input is valid and needs to be addressed, but we shouldn't start trying to go and plan things on our own b/c we have "ELECTED OFFICERS" in charge of planning the reunion so don't take offense to my comments and remember I am not a mean person, dude! 10/14/08 09:47 PM #59     Kimberly Payne (Hobbs) WOW! Is all I can say. I am very interested in hearing what the Reunion Planning Company has to say as far as cost goes. I think they would probably have great input also, as to when the best time is to have a reunion. i think we should at least get some information from them, and I don't see anything wrong with Polly contacting them, just to get that info. I am still liking the idea of attending a football game to kick off our reunion, and then moving on to a different location for a meet and greet. I am also, still liking the idea of a nice dinner on Sat. I didn't see where Christina's question had been answered, has the committee starting meeting yet, and if not when is that going to start? I wouldn't mind being a part of that whenever they do begin meeting.

I have great news we have our first reunion commitee meeting scheduled this Saturday at the Barnes and Noble in Arlington, TX at the Parks Mall at 1pm sharp! This meeting is for all of you that would like to help plan and put together our Class Reunion for 2009!! Look forward to seeing you soon! Also we have contacted several reunion planning companies (including the one that the class of 1998 used) and most require at least 500 guaranteed attendees or large deposits.We will discuss all of our options regarding location, time of reunion,and cost at the meetings to come. So again if you want to be heard please attend the scheduled meetings. It will also help greatly if everyone would respond to the polls and surveys posted on this site, it helps greatly to have feedback. I am also still needing photos to be put on our site.Any photos of weddings, children, armed services, anything you would love to share please send them so we can post them. What did I miss at the first meeting? Are we holding off until homecoming? Are we doing the typical meet and greet at J.Gilligans like everyone else tends to do? Just keep me informed. Would love to help! And wasn't Komika Hall our president? How has she not been found yet?
