Since 1970 I raised two wonderful and smart children. We lived in Kent, Ohio for 13 years where I finished my BS degree in education and began my career in hospital administration. I divorced in 1982 then made the decision to move to Chicago closer to my sister Donna in 1985. I continued in hospital administration then landed my first job in research administration in 1989 which I have been involved in for the past 27 years. I went back to school in 1993 to complete a Masters Degree in Public Administration and graduated in 1995. After 19 years in Chicago I moved to Winston Salem to accept a position at Wake Forest University School of Medicine as the Assistant Dean for Research. I will retire from Wake Forest and Research Administration at the end of December (2016 and will be involved in academic coaching and other educational activities. I love cooking and entertaining, scuba diving, golf, traveling and playing my guitar.
