I came to Oregon after Army service, and met Vicki shortly after. We were married in 1972 and have lived in Portland since then. We have two children -- Lauren now lives in Bellevue, WA and Brian lives in Palmdale, CA. Zoe, our first grandchild, arrived was born in 2018 and as I write this is visiting us along with her parents. (Everyone told me that grandchildren present a brand new experience and I know now that they're right! Absolutely wonderful --) I retired from a local energy company in 2011. I'd taught economics at Portland State at night while working the day job, and they offered me a spot when I retired from Job 1. That continued through last year, when I finally hung it up. Vicki and I are enjoying ourselves quite a lot these days. Very good times, these, and they seem to be getting better constantly -- a thoroughly fascinating period of life.

I don't know that I have a single story, but I do have many, many memories. Countless good friends, teachers and times, and I continue to find pleasure in thinking of them all --
