I designed the centerpiece for the 1996 Centennial Games at the Georgia Tech Plaza, the Olympic Village. In 1996, Georgia Tech changed their logo to replicate the top of my sculpture. I have also created over thirty thousand works of art since I graduated from Northside.
When I was attending Northside, I had an english teacher announce in class to all the students that I would never amount to anything but a garage mechanic. I built hotrods then and continue to do that today. However, I managed to graduate from UGA with a masters degree and honors. I have been a college art teacher for approximately thirty-five years. I currently teach 300 students each semester at UWG.
