Applewood 2010

Our 2010 Annual Get Together was held at The Applewood in Aurora on Saturday, September 18, 2010.

Thirty-two of us (20 classmates + 12 spouses/guests) had a very enjoyable get together at The Applewood. Rodger Casey, who had not been to any previous reunions, showed up at this one! Most of us had not seen him since high school or shortly thereafter.

Betty Jo Tandy (Lieland) and Connie Gordon (Ed's wife) were presented with a very nice and thoughtful handcrafted gift by Pam Walker (Gleason) in recognition of their strong character and courage in battling breast cancer. Thankfully, both are doing well now. Pictures of the gifts are in the photo gallery below. After the gift presentations, BJ spoke briefly and emotionally about her and her 3 daughters experiences participating in the Susan G Komen 3-Day For The Cure 60-Mile Walk last July in Cleveland, OH.

Sandy Coldwell (Higham) brought the stained glass AHS Red Devil light box that her husband, Melvin, made. It's truly a work of art, and can be seen in the second photo in the photo gallery below, but it must be seen in real life to really appreciate it.
