Joe Connelton, 65, of Aurora, Ind., passed away in Aurora, Ind.
He was born Monday, Feb. 11, 1946, in Batesville, Ind., son of the late Francis "Pat" Connelton and the late Helen Clemens Connelton.
He served his country as a member of the United States Navy during Vietnam.
He worked at Schenley Distillery for over 18 years, then as a deckhand for Grand Victoria Casino in Rising Sun.
Joe was a member of Aurora Legion Post No. 231, The Moose, Eagles Lodge, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.  He loved to hunt and fish.
Surviving are sisters, Mary Trog of Aurora, Ind., and Helen Ann (Joe) Peters of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved little dog Chelsey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Connelton.
Friends will be received 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Ind.  Services will be held at the funeral home, Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Charles Hill officiating.  Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora.  Military graveside services will be conducted by members of local veterans service organizations.
