I met my husband in grad school at UT. We graduated in May 1986, the month that oil prices fell by half. The job offer I'd gotten was rescinded, and David couldn't find work in Austin, either. We looked all over the country for jobs and ended up in Portland, Maine at the same engineering firm. We started our own company, Price Structural Engineers, in 1999. We have a home office that looks out over 75-foot tall trees (there are LOTS of trees in Maine!). It can be a zoo sometimes, but it's great being home with our three kids. Our oldest will be studying Biomedical Engineering at UT-Austin starting next fall. I had already planned to take him down to Austin for orientation the week after the WHS reunion, so I'm glad the timing worked out so that I can attend it!
