Rene was born July 31, 1965 in Santa Monica, California.

Rene & his Family moved to Baldwin Park in 1976, where he attended Tracy Elementary School. He grew up on Emery Street and made friends on that block quickly – Lifelong friends.

He later joined the rest of us at SVJHS and played Flag Football and was excited about playing freshman football for SV High, like his Brother Francisco, also an SVHS alumni, known as Cisco class of 1981. In 1983 Rene graduated and after High school,  joined the Air Force.

Soon after, he met Maggie Gonzales, also a SVHS alumni - Class of 1980, but they never knew each other and met by chance.   Maggie & Rene Married on January 4, 1985 and later had 3 children, Son Alex, and Daughters Alyssa & Jessica. They enjoyed traveling the world with his USAF job.

Rene was a Technical Staff Sergeant in the USAF, and had decided to make the Air Force his career. He enjoyed his work and lived in the Vegas area, after traveling the World, finally settling down here in the States & bought a home outside Nellis AF base, Nevada.

He planned to retire in a few years and live in Las Vegas area when his life was cut short, 8-21-2006.

Rene’s’ wife Maggie preceded him in Death.

Rene always had a joke or two to make one laugh, and it is his humor he was mostly known for. Rene was not the type to have enemies – he got along with everyone.

Sadly, some of the Funny in this world went away on the day he was laid to rest, 8-21-2006.  He was interred with full Military Honors that day, and all his friends and family attended.

He will be in the Hearts of his Friends & Family forever.
