After graduating BRHS, I attended LSU, Majoring in Microbiology. My intention was to have a career doing some sort of environmental work. However, throughout High School I was also involved doing music in my church. While at LSU I went to the Music Department to inquire about Organ Lessons so that I might improve my abitlity as a church organist. After a few lessons, I changed my major to organ performance began a career as an organist and church musician. After about 5 years at LSU (and a semester at SMU) I completed graduate studies at University of Notre Dame in organ, choral music and liturgy.
I have served as an organist/choir director in churches is Baton Rouge, Dallas, South Bend, Milwaukee, and Lawrence, KS. I have served as a member of the pastoral staff at St. Aloysius Church in Baton Rouge since 1988. If you attend at wedding or funeral at a Catholic Church in BTR there is a good change that I may be playing the organ.
Unfortunately the carreer has been the primary focus of my life, so I remain unmarried and childless. I live very close to Baton Rouge High. Whenever I drive past the campus on Government Street, I remember fondly our high school days.
