Although I'm not looking forward to turning 60, I'm looking forward to the party! Thanks Janet for keeping us all together.

Thanks to all who posted. I really like the idea of being to stay in touch as a class through this site. I have gotten some good response to the idea of a 60th birthday party so tentatively hold July 10, 2010 as the date.

Thanks Janet for the updates of the class of 1968. I am looking forward to the 60th party. Sorry I missed the 40th reunion as I had such a blast at the 30th.

I'm definitely in favor of a "turning 60 party." We may be getting older, but in a lot of ways we're still getting better.

Minx (Maralyn) Rebman (McCloud)

YOU'RE getting better, Mike, every time I see you! So are a lot of others, but I'm just getting OLDER. Anyway, doesn't really matter as I'm still having FUN, FUN, FUN. Still writing, happily married, and back again with community theater in NJ. Who could ask for more?

If I am still on this good old earth in July 2010, I will be there with bells on!

Sounds like a good idea to me. I live in Central Floroida but would drive to Bayport for a reunion if one was held.

Hi All:

Inasmuch as we are skipping Jean's reunion in Massachusetts this spring, we will try to make this one. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Rob, that would cause a big argument in my house, if we decided to go to one reunion and not another! How do you manage it? (But I'm glad you're choosing ours. Please try to make it.) FIFTY YEARS! OMG! This reunion is definitely a "be there" event. As Seals and Crofts sang so many years ago, "We may never pass this way again." COME!

Hi Minx:

Jean is skipping her reunion because none of her old classmates have signed up and the private school has changed admission rules since she attended.  I encouraged her to go, but she isn't interested, so it was not a fight.  Hope to see you all in July.

Rob

Rob, I was pretty much teasing you anyway. Jim and I would never argue about such a thing; we have too many other things to fight about. >wink<

Actually, he's not the least bit interested in going to his reunions, and apparently, his school is very lax about holding them. We only got an invitation for his 10-year reunion. On the other hand, we moved twice, so they may have given up on finding him.

Jim did not make any lasting friendships in high school. He was not a very social person and there's nobody he really wants to see. It's kind of sad, but maybe that's just me. I'm the exact opposite.

I'll keep my fingers crossed hoping you will be able to make this one. I think it's going to be the "big one," because in future years, people will be handicapped, as I am, and will not be making long trips as much. So let's do this one up BIG!
