It would be helpful if you could spread the word about this site....the more the merrier! The stories bring back great memories of long ago. Brad Peceimer (class of 79) is gathering names for a mass mailing of some kind for the up coming multi class reunion in the Fall of 2010. Janet thanks for suggesting I post this preliminary announcement on your website. You have done an incredible job with it. I think three years of classes is a good idea. It would be nice to have a small committee with reps from all three years. As you know Cherie, Mike and I pulled the 30 year together..we got lucky it all worked out well. I would love to plug along with our plans for the 35 for Class of 78 and if the others want to join in all the better. You gals should know about a month ago I retired from the fire service (Redwood City) and have moved back to Maui after 27 years. I am working in emergency services here on the island, however will be back your way often (family).
(Brenda...I'll see you in June at Shasta)

Please let me know your thoughts....

Event News: 35 Year Bash for Class of 78

Hello Class of 1978....

We had such a great time at the 30 Year Reunion (held Nov. 08) that we have now begun the process for the 35 Year Reunion scheduled for 2013!

Cherie Stephens, Michael Chew and I are co-chairing the event. We would love to have a few more folks help us out...so if you are interested please contact me directly at my email/web-page at this site. If you are from another Grad Year...and are interested that's OK leave me a message....

This is what we have so far......

Cost - We want to keep it between $60-$80 p/p
(the 30year was $100.00 p/p)
Month - April or May of 2013
Place - Redwood City
Location - Dominick's (Emerald Hills Golf Course)
or Hotel Sofitel (Redwood Shores)
Whichever one we choose the Hotel will give a good rate for rooms and a shuttle service.

Nancy Neibert (1978) Brad, I think this is a great idea. Should be good weather then and that was a place where we all used to party. Sorry I missed the 30th class reunion. Had to work that night. Janet and Becky,,, you're doing a great job !!! I love the idea of a tri class reunion.

I just found out about this website. Thank you for all your work.

I, too, missed the 30th reunion; I had planned to go and was unable to do so. I would LOVE to go to the 35th and look forward to a three-year group. I went from K-11th with the class of 78, but graduated in 77, so it is perfect for all of us to get together at once, from my point of view.

Deborah Oliver Challstrom here. I have never been to a reunion, never got an invite. I would love to get together with all the people I don't remember ;-). Seriously I would love to attend a reunion at the Sofitel. I'm sure if someone calls the manager at the Sofitel we could get great rates. Where I work as an executive assitant I am always trying to get the cheapest air fare and hotel rates. If this a sure thing at the Sofitel, let me know. I maybe able to negotiate something.

I responded to the registration for the multi-year reunion. Sounds like a great time! I wanted to know if anyone was planning to get together afterwards for dinner / going out somewhere that night. If so let me know... If not, I might try to put something together... I am open to suggestions!! (Is the Lanai still there? HA!)

Janet Lindquist (Griswold) (1979) I think there is going to be quite a few people who want to get together on Saturday night.....we were trying to keep the cost down and a evening event would put us up into the $100 per person range. I think it's worth looking into a smaller venue that offers some food and cocktails!

I am so excited you all put this reunion together. I graduated in 1977 but graduating a year early my class was actually 1978. So this is perfect for me to attend. Patrick Wellman (1978)

Patti and I are looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion in September. We sold our tickets to the Rockies vs Giants Series that weekend in Denver, but it's worth the sacrafice to see old friends.

I had a great time at the picnic and wanted to thank those who spent their time and money to put it on! Everyone looked great and it was great to reconnect with some and actually connect for the first time with others. I will be unable to attend the one for '75-'77 November 6th, but is hope you guys have a blast.
