Comments:

Hi everybody! I am in severe denial about being out of high school for TWENTY-FIVE years. It feels like 10, 15 maybe...but not 25 already!! That must mean we're ... how old?!

1993-B.S. Education, UW-Platteville
1993-2000 Teacher, Iowa-Grant
2001 Youth & Family Ministry Certification, Wartburg Seminary
2000-2002 Youth & Family Ministry Director, Platteville
2002-2011 Stay-at-home mom, summer school teacher
2011-2012 Long-term sub, Potosi School District
2012-present English Teacher/Librarian & Grad School Student, Kid Chauffeur

School Story:

(2008) Where do I begin? Growing up in a small town/small school was a great experience for me. There are so many funny memories. How about DL's "And to think, it all started with a single cell!" Or field trips to Bonner's Branch, Speth's or the Mound. Or Meylor coming to school late and greeting Mr. McGuire's 1st hour class before sauntering into Accounting. Plus the volleyball games, football games, and winning conference track. Good times!

(2013) Doing a series of cartwheels and Karate/ninja moves in the decorated gym the day before Prom, realizing to late that Mrs. Noble was there and standing right next to Mrs. Goltry!

The night of the come-from-behind win over Randolph. The night we qualified for the State Championship at Camp Randall! I'll let Mark fill you in on the details. It was AWESOME!!

Yes, it took over 40 years to convert him from Bear to Packer fan, but I think it's finally happened. (Just kidding. I wish!)
When we returned from the State Championship game, there was an awesome community pep rally at which our principal presented Mark with the Green Bay Packers Coach of the Week award. Nice sum of cash for the football program, but the opportunity to see Mark in a Packer hat was even more valuable!

One of the things on my Bucket List was to run in a half-marathon. In 2010, 11, and 12 I trained for 10 weeks and ran in the Prairie du Chien Half-Marathon, placing second in 2011 and third in 2012. (It helps when you move up to the age 40 bracket! ha!) The ironic thing is that I had a better time in 2012 than 2011. I can't even remember my time; my goal was to FINISH and to finish under 2 hours, and I did that each year. I still enjoy running (thank you Coach Muhlenbruck!! surprise!!) but didn't compete this year due to my lovely planter fasciitis (right foot) and turf toe (left foot). Mark is an excellent encourager of my athletic pursuits (which come few and far between), and the kids like to eat the bananas and Cliff bars after the race.
