I attended UW-P where I didn't quite graduate! I had a major in Elem. Ed with an emphasis in Special Ed., and a minor in German. I travelled to Berlin, Germany, with my Dad, in 1990, and it was fabulous with the recent collapse of the Berlin wall! I was married in Nov. 1993 to my husband, Suraj Thapa, who is from the tiny country of Nepal, which is between India and China, the home of the Himalayas and Mt. Everest. We travelled there in 1994, and were there for a month and a half. I also had the privilege of travelling to Japan, as my brother, Tim, is married to a lady from Japan. I was a stay at home mom for the last 12 years while my children were all little and I am very blessed that I could do that! I started my Special Education position at Rothschild Elementary School here just this past school year. I work with EBD children; children with emotional and behavioral disabilities as well as children on the autistic spectrum. It is very challenging and draining on some days but I do love it!
I am so happy that Amy got in touch with me and I can catch up with all of you! I think back to our high school days and it seems like just yesterday, but at the same time an eternity! In my mind we will always be young, and those same high school kids...with our whole lives ahead of us!! I hope you are all well and happy and I truly will try to make it to the reunion...I'm not sure if I will be able to bring my husband or children but I would love to try to just stop by in the evening and see some of you!! I will post some photos just as soon as I can!
Everyone take good care and I am happy to be in touch again!
Sincerely,
Heidi
