Surely you've got something ridiculous, unusual, tragic, romantic or profoundly moving that you can recall about your time at Beloit. It could be a class or your field term; a professor, staff member or fellow student who sticks in your mind. Maybe it just makes you laugh to think about it. Or it prompted a lifetime of reflection; appreciation or admiration. Don’t worry about whether you are as good as Mark Twain. You will not receive a grade!
You can share your story two ways:
1. Write it and share it here on the website. Post it in the Discussion Threads, as part of a classmate’s memorial or your own profile.
2. Prepare and practice it so you can tell it aloud.
Have you ever listened to The Moth on public radio or a podcast? We’d like to try something like it at the reunion. You could tell a short (3-10 minute) anecdote or a more structured story. The rules are simple: your story should be true (more or less) and you need to tell it without notes. To stretch us a little, you could recite original poetry or even sing your story.
Beyond that, it’s up to you. So we ask you to do these things
