Because the College needs us. Right now.  More than ever. 
We want our beloved alma mater to continue to thrive for generations to come! 

• Because it feels good. Giving makes us feel good. Really, it does. Recent brain research shows that the act of giving reduces stress-related activity in one area of the brain while increasing reward-related activity in another. 
• Because we can set an example. Our generosity can inspire others. We can make it the norm—so that classes that follow us will be even more generous.  Research shows that when someone else witnesses generosity, that person is more likely to be charitable or make a donation. Children, in particular, can benefit from seeing an adult they respect donate or volunteer.
• Because we’re competitive. Frankly, we would like to make it clear that the Class of 1969 is the most generous of any class ever—the most committed--to the Beloit College legacy. 
• Because we can honor someone. Paying tribute to a loved one or someone you admire, such as a classmate or favorite professor, living or deceased, is a thoughtful gesture that speaks to the profound influence that person has had on our lives. 
• Make a difference. Most people want to know at the end of their lifetime that they’ve made a difference. Showing your support through a gift to Beloit College is one way to ensure the people and causes most important to you benefit from your generosity.
