Gabby was a fantastic gal from Chappaqua, NY, and was well-liked by all who knew her at Beloit.  After graduation, she spent some time in Chicago, sharing an apartment with some of her sorority sisters.  I remember visiting them in the Windy City when I was on leave from Uncle Sam's Finest, and they really rolled out the red carpet!  She wrote me regularly when I was in Vietnam, and even visited my family while I was over there.  She left us far too soon, at the age of 24, and she will always be in our hearts.

In the fall of 1966 Gabby and I spent a work semester in Boston, MA together. We were room mates, sharing a studio apartment. It was a 4 floor walk-up in the Back Bay. We took turns sleeping on the bed, or on the couch. We went grocery shopping together, cooked together and laughed a lot. There was a small group of Beloit guys not too far away, and we wrote to other friends who were on an archaeological dig in the Dells. Gabby worked at the US Government Passport Office, and I worked in Cambridge at the NASA PR Office. Gabby drove a Chevrolet Corvair; she loved that car. We had both grown up in Westchester, NY although we didn’t know each other then.  I was saddened to hear of her passing; a dynamo who left us way too early.
