Ethelene Moore Hughes

Practiced dental hygiene 38 years. Family lived in Benson since 1974. Raised our children here. Husband JD retired military 38 years and I retired in 2007. Do have a cottage at Topsail Island, we enjoy whenever we can. Things changed March of 09, my 91 year old mother is in Liberty Commons Nursing home and caring for her is my new job. Thankful I am retired so I can do this. We have 4 grandchildren ages 7,4,2,1. All spare time spent with them. Love being retired!! It is nice to to be in Johnston County.
Since I updated my profile, Mother passed away December 16, 2009 while at Liberty Commons Nursing Home. I am now working one day a week, spending lots of time with my wonderful husband, and only keeping grandchildren when a backup is needed. I hope to spend more time at the beach this year and doing some traveling. God is good, I am still in very good health and so is JD.
