GRIFF and I went to school at John Marshall together then we met up again in Berea. He was the guy who got me to make one of the best life choices I ever made he talked me into going into the Marine Corps. I heard that he had died while I was in the Corps but I never knew how. He was a good guy. Semper Fi brother guard those gates till I get there.

Daniel Caprett Rob Griffy was shot and killed outside of a college fraternity house while trying to help someone. That's the kind of friend I remembered him to be, someone who could be friends with anyone, no matter who they were, even a misfit like me. We used to play our guitars together whenever we had the chance. I was shocked when I heard about this. Friends like him are a rare treasure.
