Eddie was a kind and gentle soul that I have known since Central School.  I was lucky enough to celebrate his and his brother Everett's 60th birthday last summer.  I am a bit shocked that he is gone.  We were in the boy scouts and church together as children.  We spent our summers fishing together at coe lake and sneaking into the fairgrounds as often as we could.  Edwin's mom, Edna was a fantastic cook so I would often visit their house just to try her cooking.  Before I went overseas I gave Edwin my Malibu Classic car so he could enjoy driving around Berea in a comfortable car just like I did.  Over the years you see your friends when you can and you think that they will always be there to share a meal and to joke around with. At least I was lucky enough to have his friendship for over 50 years.
