I pursued bass playing as a career for a while. One highlight was playing with Chad Smith, who is now with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He still owes me 50 bucks. I met Jesus Christ in 1981 and my life was transformed. My bass playing took a turn, and I wound up being the bass player with a black gospel group in Detroit. Too Cool. I found my best friend Julie, and she became my wife. After that, I worked at Beaumont Hospital and ended up learning AutoCAD in the building department. I was hired at CFI, a major AutoCAD reseller and support company in 1994. I rose rapidly through the ranks and became a senior CAFM consultant. I moved to Northern NY to become a public high school teacher. I taught Architectural drafting. I then started a company with a friend in 1999. I now own the company and we have 19 employees. We provide CAD and database documentation services for Data Centers throughout the world. We won the JCJDC Business of the Year Award in 2009. I was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Watertown Chamber of Commerce in 2013. Our company continues to grow, and we are introducing a new division late this summer. I started a new band, Soul Window. We do Jazz, Blues and Acoustic Soul. I love it. 7 pieces with vocals, keys, bass, guitars, blues harp, sax, trombone, drums and latin percussion. My oldest son plays in the band. I am a blessed man.
