Who remembers this picture?  I think in all the years I went to school we never had a snow day until this giant snowfall. My Mom would take me to school (remember this was before the school bus was hauling kids to school, we walked or had somebody take us) and she got me there that day and had slipped and slid all the way home and had to come back and retrieve me because they shut down.  Anyone else remember closings, I sure don't.

This was another article on Facebook today and I recognized some of the names, maybe whoever spent their time at State Farm Park  will remember this,  Tom Chambers, Susie Dowell Emery?

Didn't  our class at BHS have a Senior Day ( or something like that) at State Farm Park?  I remember the diving board and raft in the old park., and doing some diving off the board.

Thanks for the kind words Ron, I wish more people would voice their views on this page because I get tired of listening to me!

We did go to State farm Park for Senior Skip Day and then to the Sinorak for lunch.  I remember I slammed by finger in the car door when I got there and then got one of the worst sunburns of my life, I looked like a lobster when the day was finally over but considering everything it was a fun day.
