Comments about two previous pictures:
1. Washington school. I attended Washington school from first grade thru Junior High. We lived at the end of Jefferson Street which was a dead end street. We often played kick the can, mother may I, and red rover at the end of the street. Miss Stady was our homeroom teacher in junior high. We were opening the school store The Day the Music Died, which was when Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the "Big Bopper" died in a plane crash, February 1959. Everyone was very upset. Also, I remember going down the big enclosed curvy slide when we would have fire drills. It reminds me of the slides in the water parks today.
2. Lake Bloomington. I attended the Girl Scout camp at Lake Bloomington. One of our jobs was cleaning the outhouses and a snake slithered out of one of them, screening, we did. Also, my mom took the three of us Jeff, Janice, and Janenne along with my aunt and two cousins Steve and Linda DeVary to the Lake Bloomington beach, Lots of fun. At the end of the day, our treat was a frozen snickers/Milky Way bar on a stick. Janice Scott Vitton
