Gorski-- I remember the pop shop....didnt they have the slogan-song " Pop Shop, dootily op,.....something"

If you froze their green lime, it made a nice slushy flavor! We use to get it by the cases, spent one spring break on those "Tan Mats" using crisco oil to bake ourselves on our roof top!

( Gosh, I am wondering, where was my mom then!?)

Wasnt there another old grocery store over by old cedar & the old bridge road? Mike use to work there....

Does anyone remember who had the party down by the river years ago, the house off Old Shakopee. just after you cross over the new crossing there...they had a house with property all the way down into the swampy river bed-overflow area....They had hacked out an area of reeds for a big bon fire....

I seem to remember walking around down by Blackdog too much, looking around at the Indian Mounds......we all seemed to get a drink out of the "spring feed" creek....now I am wondering, although that water may have looked clear, what was in it! Kind of eery down there!

France Avenue Drive-in...They wrecked it when they put in the two screens behind the main screen...All us Car guy's used to park in the back row and talk cars while drinking beer. I was working at Ottos Liquor on 79th and Portland in our Sr. year. I swear that more beer went out the back door on Friday and Saturday nights than the front door... I think I went there to see Star Wars at least a couple dozen times and never watched one minute of the movie. How many of you remember the old Bloomington Drive-in on 494 atd 12th avenue?

Michelle:

I think you might be thinking about Bill Bradley. His house was just off of Old Shakopee and we partied Hardy down by the swamps and Bass Ponds.

we used to watch the movies at the Bloomington Drive In from the roof of my house! Never knew what they were saying, of course, but we thought we were so sneaky!

Does anyone remember being able to go to Nine Mile Creek and wade in and walk the creek for a really long way? We used to do it all the time when I was little - but I took my kids down there about 3 years ago and we almost drowned.

The 70's show is so true. My boys always referenced me when they would be sitting in the basement smoking ??. Reminds me of some of the get togethers we had at AP's house.

My Raiders yearbooks just all got accidentally tossed out a few months back. I'm kinda sad to not have those now. All those names bring back another flood of memories all right. Can you find out who were the OGs when we were in there?

And I'm sure it is Bill Bradley's place you're thinking of. Spent many evenings around that campfire. Bill, Scott Pearson, Pat Carey, Mike McKibben all brought their guitars down and we had very 'mellow' times. They'd play Crosby, Stills & Nash, America, Dan Fogelberg & others.

Mark,

I'm sure I was there for a lot of those times with Bill and gang..Scott was one of my best friends in highschool and we ended up roommates for a short time before I got married in 81, I'm sure the Quigly brothers were there too.

I'm dying you guys - Jeff and Lori, I always think of Aubrey Polk's basement when I watch "That 70's Show" - my son will look at me and say, "You look like you know what they're talking about by experience" - I plead the 5th!
