Jeff,

Sadly we are driving down Saturday night and doing the move on Sunday.

Man, I hope it gets warmer!

Dona M. Trabant (Inman)

Betty,

you want warmer you better go see our class mates in Cali! Follow the VIKEs maybe! Otherwise it is the typical MN advice -- "stick around - it will change back to construction season soon"

Jeffrey S. Richards

Betty, you have fun and yes I too hope it gets warmer. And it might, I should find out if Delta is going to keep me in the next couple of weeks and if they do it will be getting warmer for me, Atlanta warm.

Matt, do what you can it should be fun, Aubrey Polk says if the weather is cold and rainy they won't be going out of town and he will try to make it. I will follow up with him on Friday.

Craig --

Another double thumbs up! Great idea with the history information. Since the reunion I have done some digging too. Funny what will jog a thought now-a-days! Gas - eggs -- Star Wars -- great stuff.

History for today: lowest temp -0- 1986
highest temp 71- 1990

Jeff - I was going to ask what your status is with the merger - Atlanta, huh?

Jeffrey S. Richards

Betty

If I have a job the likelyhood of it being in Atlanta is pretty high.

Betty M. Pate (Jorgenson)

Jeff - I wish you luck!

Jeff--

hey VIKING FANS ---

it is SHOW YOUR PURPLE FRIDAY !
.
.
.

MINNEAPOLIS -- This archrivalry between Green Bay and Minnesota has been as competitive as it is contentious, a remarkably even series over the 48 years these border teams have played.

Until recently.
.
.
.
So as both teams take 4-4 records into Sunday's game at the Metrodome, the Vikings are determined to end this trend for the purpose of both pride and the playoff race.
.
.
.
Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers got a painful update in Sunday's 28-27 victory by the Vikings.
.
.
.
GOTTA LOVE PURPLE !!

Wow! Don't visit here for a couple of days and there is almost always new news. Colleen, that is great news and of course there is always room and food for more at Thanksgiving. I hope you and your mystery guest will make it. I think its a rule that if 3 or more people from Kennedy get together at one of them's house the host has to make pizza burgers. Is that true? Are pizza burgers OK on Thanksgiving? Maybe as an appetizer?
Steve Helman, weren't you thinking about a west coast visit? You are missing 80+ degrees and at least for now there are no fires in San Diego.

Dona M. Trabant (Inman)

Keep it up Bret -- you will need to build a mother-in-law apartment!! I have not flown anywhere since i took my dad to TX for my nephews graduation in .... 19..97 i think! (What year did we have the straight line winds that tore apart Bloomington?) Point is -- 9 years of raising grand kids i need 'me' time. I even missed Karen's BD last night right here at Shanty Town. Never been west past Colorado --

So how was Shantytown?

11/17/08 02:13 PM #659

Jeffrey S. Richards

Shantytown was fun and the food was excellent of course. Susan Orrie, Robin Sjostrom, Randy Almsted, Matt Harris, Tim Nelson, The birthday girl Karen and myself were there. Wish you could have made it.

11/19/08 03:14 PM #664

Karen M. Dahl

Thanks for the Birthday wishes!
Gee. How did I get mixed up with the class of '78?
I am only 38 uh... er... 41 years old!
Would'nt I have to to 49 or something?

11/19/08 06:37 PM #665

Dona M. Trabant (Inman)

Ya know Karen -- there is a few of us 29'ers that got mixed in with the older crowd! Whats up with that? It was cool in high school to "hang with the old crowd" but now -- NOT so cool!!

99, (aviator speak for everyone)

Since I left in 78 still a minor, my recall of Shanty Town was a little watering hole on Jeff Fowler's paper route on Pillsbury Ave and 84th. How about an update on Shanty Town.
P.S., I did see the Mall of America when I swung through for my sister's wedding in 98. Is it there?\

Any one have Steve Mahon's email address? Great pictures of reunion with Tom Peck. I only had him in band 9th grade. If anyone remembers, he taught and aviation class for "mods" . I would like to let him know I made a career of working on and then flying planes and just wanted to thank him for giving me the fever of flying.

Chuck -

I will do a few things for you and others --
I can take a few shots of Shanty Town for you.
You may recognize the out side but not inside -- no more pool table but 3 corners of sports tv.

I will e mail you Toms address. He would be very impressed to hear what you have done with your life!! He also started what i call a grad band that several of us were in. It is still in progress and some of the original players are still in it - i plan on starting back up after the holidays (i need practice first).

take care. Glad to see your input!

Sue Ellen M. Peterson (Polson)

Tampa Bay was a blast! Hung out at the game with Rene Knafla. I don't know why we didn't get on tv!! The pirates in the pirate ship were throwing beads at me and I kept throwing them back. What am I going to do with red and black beads!? Weather was beautiful. As soon as I upload my pics I will let you know. Wish I could have been home for the Shantytown! Keep me posted on the next get together!
