Hey Dona,

The Green Mill Restaurant located in the Holiday Inn @ 94th st. &35w,

if notified in advance will set up a Brunch Buffet for us!

They do have really good food!

My Daughter's Fiance works there!

Please let me know. I will make the arrangements.

Since I am off work for the month of July...

Karen.

Dona here is an idea. There is a car show coming up that covers the muscle/performance/pony cars from our "era" (and newer) at the MN state fair grounds. It is the Car Craft Nationals and it is on July 16,17,18, and is listed on the mn state fair site under non-fair events.

I am trying to set up when I am coming down.  I may not be able to stay the whole week, but I would like to make it at least one of the weekends.  Sadly I am not into motorcycles, so I won't be able to join the ride.

If there are any band-related reunions I would like to make that ( though I may need to do a complete re-pad of the YTS61 as I haven't played that thing in 22 years -gulp).

Steve!  I SO miss going to car shows.  Too bad we'll be back in Georgia by then.

Planning on being at Eagles on Friday and stopping by the BBQ after the bike ride!

Will be great to see you all :)

I would need a head count for the Brunch at least a week ahead. I am thinking if we've been drinking... we may want to sleep in late! I like old cars,  but... will pass on that one.

John thanks for getting back to us on this hope things settle down for you and yours real soon!

Obviously John can not take this golf outing task on So....

Who would like to take this opportunity and run with it?

  Hi All!

I must apologize for being out of commission for the past month or so. I began a new job out of state, but because of the extensive travel and communication age, we will keep Des Moines as our primary home. It has been a very tumultuous time for us. I have not made any golf arrangements and probably won't be able to make it to the Cities for the celebration anyway. I am so sorry for that, but the transition between jobs was stressful, to say the least.

I will miss everyone, so have a great time, and I hope that this web site will offer more gathering opportunities. Happy 50th to all! It feels great!

Cheers!

John

FYI...The home page does not clarify whether the brunch is Saturday or Sunday, but I see that Sunday is the day of choice.    Now we need a specific time.  :-)

Looks like the GREEN MILL is a hit!

Now for head count .... can you give us a guestimate? If it is you or you and a guest?

Sunday brunch is usually ??..... 11am?? or do we need to go 1pm??

Let Karen get a head count and then they can tell us a good time.

thanks All!!

P.S.

If all saw ... John can not do the golf --anyone have suggestions?

Thank you Rod for the update!

My daughter just had a baby boy on July 3, 1:56pm.  Weight:  8 lbs 8 oz. Length:  21".  The next day my son-in-law was sent back to Afghanistan for the war.  At birth my daughter noticed my grandson had a slight problem that required surgery.  Both mother and daughter are home now (for the second time) and I have been taking care of them.  Sorry I had to miss the Friday night event.  I hope to be at the BBQ tonight for a short time.
