Hi Everyone,

I don't know how many of you are checking the site lately, but I wanted to give a heads up that the invite will be mailed shortly and we will post a copy of it to the website.  If you do not get an invitation, I promise you, it's not a slight.  Please, please, please, feel free to print a copy off the website and return with your payment.  If you know of people that want to go, but were not mailed an invite, again, feel free to print them a copy or refer them to the website to print their own.  And if they haven't created a Profile, ask them "why?"

Because so many of us had friendships that crossed over into other classes, we are opening this up to the class of 1977 and 1979.  We have received a few addresses from interested parties, but as mentioned previously, if someone that you know from those classes show interest, feel free to print copies for them or refer them to Sue Pete or myself.

We are hoping for a big turnout!

Betty

For those of you that know Julie Samuelson you know she has been ill for a while.

She is a private person and has not been full out with how sick she really is ---

I recieved this via Jim Anderson today --- I am sharing, I do not think Julie will get too mad at me ...

at least I hope not .... with all the help she has given, I would like to see some returned to her

before its too late.

Hi All,
>I thought this was the fastest way to get word out and ask for
>prayer for Julie. I have been involved with her quite a bit this weekend,
>as she has been going downhill fast. For those that don't know she was
>diagnosed with rectal cancer last summer, and has been resisting treatment in
>the traditional way, wanting instead to treat it naturally with herbs and
>vitamins.
>Over the past three weeks she has been steadily declining and on
>Friday paramedics wanted to take her in to emergency but she refused their
>services. Yesterday, her brother went and talked to her and actually
>physically carried her out of her rental place and took her to Regions
>Hospital.
>I just returned from visiting. She is very groggy and
>sleepy. She is on a lot of IV's for fluid replacement, potassium, pain,
>etc. There is a decision making conference tomorrow, but it looks like she
>will be heading to hospice and will live out the last few weeks/months of her
>life there. They will try to get her opinion/feelings about this, but she
>has waited extremely long since diagnosis, and she has always been resistive to
>chemo and radiation, as well as not being in any physical shape to endure it
>anymore.
>Just wanted to ask for prayers......for peace, for pain free
>time, for her to get to see and talk to those she needs to before she goes.

Once I know when she is moved to hospice, I will try to update.

take care everyone.

Dona

Hi Everyone!

I've received quite a few phone calls regarding the June 1st deadline for RSVP's.  People want to confirm that they can still send in their reservations/payment for the reunion.  The answer is a resounding YES!  Keep those RSVP's coming!  The more the merrier!

Spread the word!

Betty

The RSVP's are coming in fast and furious - love it!

Keep 'em coming! (I was going to go all KC & The Sunshine Band and say
"Keep em coming, love" but then you'll have that song going through your head for the next month!)

Hi everyone.  Didn't mean to be incognito, but a lot of stuff has been on my plate.

The good news is that I will be attending the reunion.  Vacation planning was suspended due to some company-related stuff.    That situation resolved itself, and I have been able to slot out days to attend the reunion.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Good bye Matt!

I'm glad  for,  if  no other reason,  my first and last class reunion in 35 years that I was able  to see and visit with  Matt after all these years. Matt, Dave Merrick and me use to hang around from time to time back in the day. We had some really fun times together. I was so happy to see Matt and to hear about his life. I am so sorry he's gone.

Just thought I would give a sad update :>>  ... David L Peterson (lived on Wentworth) was killed last night. So far all i know is he was gunned down inSeattle. Not sure of details -- as soon as Bob (Robert) Olson finds out he will let me know. The police / coroner has not released a statement or the body. Another sad day for the class of '78.

He will most likely not be brought back to MN but burried in WA.

Sorry for the sad news.   :(

Thanks for the update . It is just tragic to lose anyone from our class regardless if it's a long term illness or random act / accident . May he rest in Peace ; let us all as a Class of '78 say a prayer for him .

May God comfort those he has left behind .

Not sure if anyone even looks at this site anymore, but thought I would post this anyway.

Mike McKay, biology teacher and coach (track and field and football) left this earth earlier this week.  I will try to remember to post his obituary and funeral arrangements when they are known.

Kirk,

Yes, a few of us still use this site to stay conected.  Sorry to hear about Coach McKay, he was one of the really special people in this world that taught us lessons that we all still use today.  He was probably the best trainer/tape men I have ever seen, or atleast he was the fastest.  I continue to use those skills today in my role as a High School Coach.  Thanks again and keep the information flowing to us on the outer edges.

Classmates Forever,

Chuck Aardahl
