JFK RIDE, July 19th 2014
Hey it's just around the corner...
Ok folks it's only about a month away for the Annual JFK Ride and "Make a Wish" for a little one come true.
We have the largest number of people EVER who have RSVP for the ride this year! Looking forward to another awesome day with Friends and the wind in our face. The ride will be again the same as last year. Meeting at John F Kennedy parking lot 9-10AM ish.
9800 Nicolet Ave So, Bloomington, MN
Will have some morning wake up Coffee, Rolls and Juice, also chilled Water to bring with you on your bikes for the ride, and a opportunity for you to get a wrist band and help "Make a Wish" donation if you choose too.
A couple folks have mentioned they would like to participate but do not have a bike. So if you don't mind having a riding buddy for the day that would greatly appreciated by those who would like to join the fun. Let us know maybe so we can set that up or will just wing it at the parking lot at school on that one. Plan for a full day and will see you soon.
Email or Message me if you have any Q's See my profile for further info.

Hey

Hope you enjoyed 12-13-14 otherwise known as tic tac toe day.  It won't happen again in our life time.  I also hope for everyone to have a safe and Happy Christmas.

Kids will be home with their kids this Christmas which will make my holiday.  The unhappy part is I'm filing for a divorce after 15 years of knowing this man and 14 months of marriage.  Some where there is a silver lining I am sure.

Love Peace and Happiness to all.

I thought the same thing ; it's been a while since anyone has written . I know life is crazy for the Lisser Family in Ohio.  I had to fly in to msp quickly to check on my mom , full knee replacement ( here in MN)

things aren't always perfect  -- so important to check on our momma's when they need us . I'll be flying back outquickly too , lots to do back home coming  into the holidays

I sure wish I would have had a day here to connect , but unfortunately can't . I need to get back for all the Christmas cantata practices for our church in Ohio .

Merry Christmas to all the. Alum in our class .  May Blessings be  bountiful in 2015 ! ??

Hi everyone --

it has been a while since we all have different ways of communicating with each other but i want to put this out there for TOM PECK.

I TRY to keep up with he and Patti but it is hard for her to respond -- I just got this a couple of days ago :

it read
We are okay. Sorry I don't have a lot to time. Tom's Parkinson's is advancing, my mom is now in memory at the Holland home and my 87 year old dad is at home at his condo with early Parkinson's. I still work full time, but all these other things take a lot of time! Thanks for thinking of us and continuing to message!

I really want to do something for them ..just do not know what or how.

He did so much for so many of us from music to flying lessons ... and Patti has her plate so full.

Really open to suggestions ...

Dona

Hi Everyone!

I was just chatting with Carolyn P. Sauer Bahro about Tom Peck.

I really want to do something for he and his wife Patti.

Carolyn mentioned a fundraiser for Toms Parkensens's.

Any thoughts or suggestions??

Patti really could use some help. She is caring for Tom and

both her parents too.

Open to suggestions everyone ...

Dona

I am still here.  Just got a bunch of emails.  Been a bad boy responding.

Still here in the DC area - and still an engineer.

BTW - getting ready to do my third RAGBRAI this coming July.    Sadly, I won't be doing a side trip to Minnesota Unlike the last two years where I flew from Phoenix, I am actually driving to Cedar Rapids from DC to meet up with my cycling team.  They will then take me to Sioux City to the start where I then ride my bicycle to Davenport.    Driving 2000 miles, then riding 500 miles.   God must think I am crazy... ;)

John,

Do you still have your scooter? You should join us for the ride on the 11th, meet at Kennedy at 9 AM or so

Michelle Franz (Lisser)

Yes, It does seem as though many don't check in anymore.  But although I have been , it seems, busier than usual ( 1 graduating from college, andplanning for grad school, one finishing her first year at college, and all the stuff that it takes to plan for next year, and 2 that are heavily involved in everything in high school ( finished thier Freshman year) ..... i try and check in peridocally.  I was in MN for a brief 2 days when my mom had her first knee replaced, but it wasnt any time other than spending it with her, that I could have done anything else.

Hope everyone is well, and we dont have any classmates that have had major health issues.  Im still doing well and still lovving the living in Ohio. I had a little chalenging 7-8 months last year-- I had flown to CA for surgery..a year ago, and the recup wasnt as easy as I had wished.  But all is well now, and Im happy to say I am a year down the road in a much better place. (Remaining positive, despite the horrible crappy winter we had in Ohio.)

Take care everyone,

Shelly

I'm still here. It's been a rough two years for me. I found out over a year ago that I had thyroid cancer. Surgery removed all of my thyroid and 44 lymph nodes in my neck. Body scans, PET scans, MRI's and ultrasounds all showed more cancer present and moved to the upper chest area. Had a nice little visit to Mayo where they took very good care of me. I now feel the best I've felt in years and ready to conquer the world again.

Shortly after I found out about this the cancer the first time, my dad was told he had stage 4 prostrate cancer. He transferred his address to Heaven last October. I sure do miss him!

On a happier note, I now have three wonderful  grandcherubs who never cease to delight and rock my world! The oldest will be 5 tomorrow and the youngest was born just before Mother's Day.

Happy 4th everyone! Be safe and be happy as you spend time with your families and friends.
