I'm the oldest of my siblings. My next in line sister, Cookie lives in Canfield and I have a twin brother and sister, Donnie and Bonnie. They both live in Mahoning County
I can't say that any of them jump out at me
YSU. I have a Masters in Reading and another Masters in Community Counseling
I've been a clinical counselor for 46 years and still am. I've had some incredible experiences owning the holistic health center that I built in Canfield. I have too many highlights in my career to even mention. I've been blessed to say the least. I received honors and free advanced training as a sex therapist through the Masters and Johnson institute in New Orleans back in the day. I've been a columnist for the Womans Journal and I've published three books.
I've served on the mental health and recovery board for three terms recently. I was also hired as a consultant on the Ohio Mental Health and Recovery Board. Im slowing down now and stepping off the committees and boards that I have served on. It's time
Watching my children discover who they are. Looking into the eyes of my little four legged that I rescued. I was so proud when I walked into Barnes and Nobles and saw my book highlighted for several weeks as the staff favorite. I was very proud when I built the building and opened the Treat Yourself Center for Holistic Health in Canfield in 1996. It was ground breaking for this community. I was so proud to see my son graduate from law school. I was so proud to play in the bands that I was in and fill in for other known bands in the area. Im proud to say I have many friends and that I created jobs for many through the years as a business owner. Im proud to say that I have offered years of experience to this community and saved many marriages from ending and helped so many men and women and families to find meaning, joy and love. It's an honor to do what I do everyday. Im most proud to say that my God has shown me who He is in my life and always has my back.
Im a fan of many. I can't say that I have a favorite. I taught myself how to play guitar during the pandemic and own six now and two ukes and many harmonicas and a djembe
I took on the second to the last thing on my bucket list this year. Finally bought my camper van and began to take short trips and did some camping. I've always wanted to meet people everywhere I could and see our beautiful best kept secrets in our country. So I bought an American Cruiser Camper Van and turned it into a hippie van in minutes. I can't say I love camping because I'm not into spiders and snakes and bugs and cleaning that toilet. Jury is out on that. But I have some awesome trips coming up next year on the calendar and the story will continue. The last thing on my bucket list is to get to Italy and see where my father was born and meet his family. I would love to take that trip with some cousins...Patty Horvath I hope.
I feel that my life has been rich in every opportunity I can imagine. I have grown through my losses and I have loved and lost a few relationships. I've been beyond successful in my career. Through it all, I have kept my eye on the ball which is my spiritual awakenings and growth opportunities...there have been many. I now enjoy meeting new people and sitting around a campfire talking and laughing...nowhere to go...nothing special to do. I'm in the now more than ever and my passion for the guitar keeps me grounded. My son and I have taken up kayaking and fishing this past summer. Not into the worms on the hook thing, but definatley into watching him relax and enjoy himself. I've had many many kodak moments this past summer. I love my life right now.
I was always looking for how to break a stupid rule. Diane Van Such and I got caught roaming the halls skipping gym class until Mrs. Vanish caught us in the act and made us clean the equipment room. Not fun.
Barb Malone and I had a passion for skipping gym class and running in the locker room and standing on the toilet seat so the gym teacher didn't catch us when she came in there looking for us. Always fun to skip gym. I can write a book on that.

I remember Alice from band. She was always so sweet and had a smile on her face all the time. She obviously lived an amazing life. RIP

So sorry to hear that we have lost another of our classmates. I shared some classes with Michele through H.S. She was always very nice and sweet. Reminded me alot of Gretchen K. I didn't have any contact with her after H.S. but it sounds like she found the love of her life and is now reunited with him and her son. Our days are numbered and we need to make the most of them because they are not a promise, more so, a gift.
what a beautiful tribute to Stephanie. May she rest in peace forever and always.
Welcome to the page. So glad that you reached out!
