Hello Friends of Guy,

I am sending this email later than usual, mainly due to traveling. Guy's Mile Run will indeed take place this year. This will be the Fifth Annual Run.

It will be held on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, as usual, at Youngstown State University W.A.T.T.S Indoor Facility at 8:10 am with the YSU Mid-Major Meet to follow; form is attached.

Whether you are participating or simply coming to watch as a friend of Guy, please make sure to email me by Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 to ensure your name goes on the list for free parking: wilmadepiore@yahoo.com.

Last year, we had a nice variety of participants - with some fast performances, 'us' aging adults giving it our all (despite our 'slower' finish times!), recreational runners, as well as walkers, including some persons who possibly never met Guy, In this way, his legacy lives on.

Of note is that I 'cleaned up' the emails, mainly removing email addresses for which I/we received failure notices. It is likely that I missed some and that there will be additional invalid addresses so this will be an ongoing process.
