This is kind of long, but a whole LOT has happened!
I attended BYU the fall after we graduated, but soon saw the error of my ways and transfered to a much better school. In 1991 I married Paul Woods Rudd in the Salt Lake temple. In 1993 we were blessed with boy/girl twins, born two months premature weighing only 2 lbs. 5 oz. and 2 lbs. 15 oz. I graduated from the University of Utah in 1995 with a degree in English.
We moved to the San Francisco Bay area in 1996 for Paul to attend medical school. While there I taught high school. In March of 1998 Paul unexpectedly died of a brain hemmorhage. Devastated, James, Rachael, and I moved back to Utah.
A year later I made the mistake of remarrying too soon. We had one daughter, Becca in 2000. I divorced him in Feb. 2001.
Luckily, with the help of LDSsingles.com, I met Troy Hudson, a widower with four little boys (Jett, Ryan, Brayden and McKay) and we were married in August of that same year. The following year our family was completed with the birth of our youngest daughter Hannah. Later in 2002 we were able to have me legally adopt the four boys and for Troy to adopt Becca. (My second husband relinquished parental rights---Yay!---as part of a plea bargain involving several domestic violence assault charges.)
The ten of us lived in SLC until 2004 when we moved to the North Canyon area of Bountiful. I stay pretty busy keeping up with these kids. Would you believe I have a daughter who's a cheerleader at...and I'm sad to admit...Woods Cross High. It was an adjustment to start rooting for them against BHS. Anyway, my oldest son just got called on a mission to Peru! I can hardly believe we're all getting so old!! Can't wait to see everybody. Take care until then!
2019 update: In 2010 I divorced from my husband Troy. I worked and raised my two youngest daughters. In 2014, I married Rick DeSilva and moved to Tehachapi, California where Rick lived. We resided there for a year and a half before making our home permanently in Utah. We now own a home in the Bountiful High School area.
Looking back over my comments I realized that they focus so much on family that it seems as though I’ve done nothing else with my life! So just to be clear, in the last 30 years I’ve also gotten a degree in English and done some graduate work. I’ve had many jobs including, but not limited to, deputy court clerk, high school teacher, sales associate, photographer, speaker promoting organ donation, and even recess duty! I’ve gone on a humanitarian mission to Peru and served a 2 1/2 year service mission for the LDS Church in the member locator department. I’ve also traveled to Great Britain, New Zealand, the Mexican Riviera and other fun places.
I am currently enjoying working at Hallmark in Bountiful and am happy to be the mother of 15 and thrilled to be the grandma of 18 and one on the way!
