Just came back from a visit to the Arnold Arboretum; can’t believe I’ve never been to this local gem. Spent three hours and only saw about 25% of the beautiful grounds.

Hi Don, Nice to hear from a classmate and Vietnam vet brother. I took the third year after I was told that I could attend any AIT of my choice, so I took the longest one I could find. 63H, wheel and track repair and recovery. I ended up driving a wrecker in convoys all over the Central Highlands and south and west of Saigon. I pretty much lived on my truck on an air mattress behind the cab. I saw a lot of interesting shit and totally enjoyed it. I was with the 4th Inf at Pleiku and the Highlands, 48th Trans Bn in the south and finally the 17th Air Cav. Still healthy and enjoying life and retirement.
