George Inch

After retiring in 1986, I moved to my cottage and later to a small bungalow in Magnetawan (not far from the cottage). I used to winter in Florida but now just hibernate. Much less active but still able to get about and enjoy the odd beer.

I joined the staff in 1960 when the school opened as a math and science teacher. I later became an Assistant Head of Math and then Head of Math. I held this job until I retired in 1986. I had a classroom rule that, being late to class (five minutes after the bell rang), required the offender to do five pushups. Those damned vice-principals would keep me talking to make me late so that I would have to do pushups. When the principal came in one day, the students insisted that he do the pushups as well.
