Comments:
In 1983 I returned back to Cúcuta- Colombia where my family lived at that time; and was graduated from the High School I was attending before going to the states. It took me another six months going to classes.
After that I went to Dentistry school at Santo Tomás Univ. in the city of Bucaramanga -Colombia....just for one semester ...then I changed to the Colombian Medical School ( School of dentistry) in the city of Bogotá- Col where i finished my studies and graduated as a dentist in december 89.
I moved to Cali , second largest city in the country, which is also my loved region of the Cauca Valley.
In the year 1990 , i worked for the government for a year to get my licence as a dentist on a program that is called "year of social service" obligatory for those on medical carreers.
In year 1991 I start working as a dentist in a small clinic and in the year 1993 I opened my own dental cabinet.
In the year 1999 I start thinking about leaving my country and moving to Spain because teh economic crises in my region , and the labor conditions that where nos as good as I expected in that moment.
It was one of the most difficult moments in my life when I took the decition of leaving Colombia , the country where I was born, where my family lived, and where my heart was.......
I Came to live in Madrid, Spain at the beggining of the year 2001, and had to present several exams during three years to validate my diploma and title as a dentist and to work legally here in this country.
I start a business of dental clinics in 2002 with an associate (you can look up on www.odontomedic.com )but now we are separating the society , and im working for a company of dental clinics called CAREDENT(www.caredent.es) as a director of three of them , in the Madrid Metopolitan area (Madrid Community)
I´m 42 Years old now, and looking forward to see all my classmates and friends from Brazil, IN the coming summer and to remember the fantastic experience I had being an exchange student.
I still keep in touch with Bob and Jery Stearley, the family i lived with and they still treat me as their boy and they are to me my american mom and dad.....
I Go to Colombia every time I have the chance; because there still all my love for my homeland.
