Marian Sahr (Bullard)

Winona....Thanks for offering to design a tribute for our military. Betty Beck and I grew up together on Jasmine St. with the DiGuardi's, Dingee's, Baxter's, Spencer's, Lamkin's and Foster's (for awhile). We were all a big family. Now Betty's mom and my mom are living in the same apartment complex. (They are like sister's)Thanks Betty for your video. It's funny how life turns out. I love this site. I have been able to reconnect with many of the classmates. I cannot thank everyone responsible enough for making this site possible. I DO plan on getting involved as soon as my daughters surgery is over. So count me in. I wish everyone a Happy Easter and stay safe. God Bless, Marian

Hey Joy, So glad to hear from you. I just got some wonderful news. My granddaughter just informed me that she will be a big sister in November!!! I had almost given up on this.

Davis was a very premature twin 11 years ago. They were both under 2 lbs. Little Madison was transferred to 3 hospitals, had 5 operations, staphe(spelling??) infection, and many other complications. She came home at 4 1/2 months with an "all clear" report. One month later she passed away in her sleep while my son was babysitting. Mom had just started back to school.

This was so traumatic for Monica, Nathan's wife, that she swore she would never have another. She stuck to it until now. So now you know why I am soooo overjoyed!!

Kathy Harkreader (Jones)

Winona, you did an outstanding job on the military tribute. VERY nice! Also, a very nice touch to add the music to the "In Memory" section. I had to listen to Mercy Me sing "I Can Only Imagine" several times...love that song.
Anyway, great, great job on all of it!

And yes, Johnny and Margaret, the hippie nature was there. We had/have to try hard to overcome it. :)

Judy-
congratulations on the new granchild on the way. I will
keep your whole family in my prayers for this new life.
I spent several hours with my new granddaughter (2 1/2
weeks old) and grandson yesterday. What a wonderful day.
Joshie had his first Easter egg hunt. It was so much fun!

Judy,
I am so happy for you...hope you received my message. I am so sorry for your loss, but I believe that GOD always gives us gifts when we lose our loved ones. I thought I would just die when I lost Randy. He was the love of my life, and a great man! I don't have all the answers, but I do know that GOD has a plan for each of us...HE just had a new plan for me! He has sent me so many people to love...and to help! As you know, I lost my Mom when I was 14. I learned the suffering of the mother less, and have been there for so many that just need a Mom! I am proud of my adopted children...Daddy always said, "you will be like that old woman in the shoe...so many children you won't know what to do!" Not that many!!! LOL You, Judy have just received a wonderful gift...children are gifts from GOD. I always wanted a little girl, and on June 3, 2006 GOD sent me the most amazing little girl! She is the new love of my life!!!! People have always told me I would go crazy when I have my grandchildren...they were so right!!!!!
GOD Bless,
JOY!!!!! :0)

Kathy, You are so right about the wonderful job Winona did with the military tribute and the music for the In Memory. I actually cried and had to listen to every song. Josh Groban was always one of my favorites. I attended several of our classmates funerals but didn't know about several of them. I remember Joe Culbreth in Jr. High where he craved my initals on his arm. I remember all the parties we had with Bobby Allinson and Billy Everett. I remember Ruth always having a crush on my boyfriend Harry (which she later married). It makes me thank GOD for everyday. I am looking so forward to our reunion. God Bless You All, Marian
=======================================================
Marian, do you happen to know what branch of military Joe Culbreth was in? If you do please contact me. Thanks. Alice

Winona Hebert (Spinks)

Thanks, Kathy and Marian. I enjoyed the opportunity to design the military tribute. It will be updated periodically as new information is received. The music for the "In Memory" tribute, however, was the kind gesture of Carrol or Alice (?)--Yes, the songs are beautiful.

Carrol Reneau (Jeffers)

Yes, your welcome. I just picked some of my favorites for the In Memory section.

Carrol,
I love many of these song choices, especially "I Can Only Imagine." Great choices girlfriend!!! Alice

Very good to hear from Joy and Kathy. Joy, thanks for your thoughts on Erin, she is special young lady and we are all proud of her. If anyone is UT junkie or alum, our daughter Erin is primary in the Bevonomics program at the university. Check it out! It sure sounds like a good time being cooked up by all the organizers. Thanks to all for the hard work. See ya'll in September.

Everybody, please don't forget to be praying for Marian's family this week. Her daughter is having surgery on her liver and kidney. Prayer is powerful.
