Kathy Lynn Brautigam was born June 1, 1951 and died October 25, 1997 of inoperable brain tumors. She is survived by two children: son, Robert Thomas Gernand, nephew of Rose Gernand Wagner and daughter, Gloria Lyn, niece of Josephine Bailey Jarrell.
I remember Kathy even in elementary school as a sweet, gentle spirit with those beautiful blue eyes and porcelain skin - always, always smiling. Through high school that never changed.
I remember Kathy with deep regards and pleasant memories. She was one of the sweetest, kindest and naturally beautiful girls that I ever had the pleasure of knowing. We only went out twice in HS, but in 2nd and 3rd grade at Velasco Elementary our teachers called us the blue eyed twins, because we were inseparable. She was my first "GIRL FRIEND."
This world was truly blessed with her presence and I am blessed to have known her. Even though we lost touch in High School, after her marriage, I have thought of her often. My sincere condolences go to all of her family and friends for their loss, and truly pray that her beautiful spirit lives on through her children.
