David James Bebout

1951 - January 9th, 2024

David Bebout, born to Ruth and William Bebout in 1951, passed peacefully in his sleep on January 9th, 2024. David was raised along with his brother John, in Lake Jackson, Texas. David attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law, before going on to become one of Houston's most prominent attorneys. Throughout his years in the field, he fought to represent the widows and the working class of Texas who were harmed by big business interests. At the young age of 45, David retired and moved to Taos, New Mexico to raise his two children, Halley and Sam. David loved the beauty of New Mexico, and was fascinated by its culture, and archaeological history. Being an avid reader, he devoured multiple books weekly. In March of 2023, David welcomed his Granddaughter Elody, whom he loved very much. David loved his morning coffee and all of his friends at the World Cup Coffee, where he "held court," daily. He will be sorely missed by all of his friends and family.

Celebration of life will be held on February 3, 2024 from 1-4 PM at Taos Inn Adobe Bar.
