The above picture and enclosed note was sent to me September 12,2008 from a co-worker of Sherry's at Canyon High School in Comal ISD in New Braunfels, Texas.

"I have enclosed the picture that Journalism sent me. It is the proof of Sherry's last year faculty photo. Sherry was a very dear friend and not a day goes by that I do not think of her and miss her! Monday would have been her birthday - so to honor her - we are having a luncheon in the counselors' office. Several of us always ate lunch together in our conference room so we have invited several people who thought so much of her and we are going to eat lunch together 'for Sherry'. Please tell those at your reunion that Sherry was a wonderful person who had an enormous heart. She loved working with the kids at Canyon High School and had been honored at the last few years Senior Awards program for her work with the Senior classes. The kids loved her and trusted her and knew that she would take good care of them - either getting into college or getting a job. Our college rep from Texas A & M called this week and apologized for not being here yet to meet with any students but he said he just couldn't bring himself to come into our building - knowing Sherry was not here. That is the kind of impact she had on people. Thanks for remembering her with your reunion. I know she would have been there and loved every minute of it."

Sherry Cade was an amazing woman...so beautiful and had a zest for life! I am not at all surprised that she is loved by so many. I remember how wonderful she was to fix our hair for prom! She always made me laugh, and accepted me for myself.
May GOD fill you all with great memories...AND THE PEACE THAT YOU WILL BE TOGETHER WITH HER AGAIN.
Love to all,
Joy Garrett Chessher
