Gary was a great guy and he will be missed. We met in Mrs Hitts class in 5th grade.

I remember Gary and I writing hundreds of ballots voting for the beach boys in a contest that KILT was having, I think it was in 1964. The Weird Beard or somebody came to our school because I think our school got second place out of all of the schools in the KILT listening area. I will always remember Gary as a good friend and send my condolences to his family and friends.

Gary and I went WAY BACK, as our families were members of the First United Methodist Church in Freeport. My fondest memories of Gary centered around his dune buggy, trips to Bryan and Quintana beaches, electronics experiments, Sunday School, church and school dances, spending time together at Griff’s men’s store and Coldwater’s, and lots of swim parties at the Griffin house. When it came to mechanical and electronic projects, there was nothing Gary could not do. I miss you fella and will see you some day in heaven.
