In Memory

Pam Marcum** (Williams)

Pamela Jean (Marcum) Williams passed into eternal rest on Friday, November 18, 2005, at the age of 54 years. She fought a 45-year battle with diabetes. She was born on May 14, 1951, in Orange, Texas, to Gene and Dottie Marcum. Pam enjoyed her childhood years in Lake Jackson, Texas, graduated from Brazosport High School in 1969 and Sam Houston State University in 1974, where she was an active member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

Her strength and courage has been an inspiration to those that have known her. The determination to look to the future and enjoy her life kept her looking forward to someday overcoming and living out her golden years with those she so deeply loved. Pam is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Larry Williams; mother and father, H.E. “Gene” and Dorothy Jean “Dottie” Marcum of Lake Jackson; stepdaughter, Teri Williams of Austin; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sue and Bill Williams; brother-in- law, David Reid; sisters-in-law, Dana Thackeray and Billie Williams; faithful and loyal pets, Harley, Jazz and Pacer; special friend, Betty Danford of Lake Jackson, whom she referred to as her “second mother.” She also leaves beloved other relatives, numerous cousins and friends.

Dear Family,
One of the most adorable "girls" in our class was Pam Marcum. Her Mom, Dottie did the payroll for my Dad at the drugstores. Pam was so much like her Mom, Dottie.
Pam was always so sweet, and always spoke with kind, loving words. She is one of the people you know for sure...GOD did take HIS best! She was a beautiful woman...inside and out.
My love to her family, and may GOD bless you with memories until you meet again...the next time forever!
Love,
Joy Garrett Chessher
