William (Bill) Earl Nix

William (Bill) Earl Nix passed peacefully from this life at the age of 72 on October 10, 2023. Bill was born in Dermott, Arkansas to Haskell and Mildred Nix before moving to Brazoria County. After graduating from Brazosport High School in 1969, Bill served 21 years in the U.S. Navy, where he enjoyed traveling the world and meeting his loving wife, Mary (Angst) Nix, whom he was married to for almost 43 years. Bill retired from the Navy in 1990 and returned to Brazoria County, where he worked for BASF and Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Bill was an active member of Brazos Point Fellowship and a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. In retirement, he enjoyed reading, history, and spending time with his daughters and their families.

Bill will be extremely missed by his wife, Mary; his sister, Betty Berry and her husband, Wayne; and his daughters, Allison Nix and Heather Salazar, along with their families, Josh, Rowdy, and Bill's favorite granddaughter, Riley; as well as numerous family and friends in Texas, Arkansas and Michigan.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Haskell and M. Mildred Nix.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the Funeral Services following at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 19th, 2023 at Palms Funeral Home. Mary would love if family and friends shared stories of Bill using www.palmsfuneralhome.com.
